Steven Carroll
CEO Lee DuBois

Education
B.S. Business Administration, Butler University
M.B.A., Ohio State University
Steve has over 30 years of sales and marketing experience in a career that includes stints with companies like ADP, Burroughs Corporation, Hillenbrand Industries, and Arthur Andersen Consulting. Mr. SC has written four books, two of which made Hillenbrand a worldwide expert in a vertical sales environment. With an MBA from the Ohio State University, Mr. SC has had access and frequent contact with University consultants since the late 60’s.
Mr. Carroll and Mr.Gill’s new book, “Don’t Sell Yourself Short – Be All You Can Be!” highlights Talent Development, and will most certainly become a benchmark on this subject.
Corporate University Involvement
While at Burroughs Corporation, Mr. Carroll was the lead trainer for selling skills (using the Lee DuBois system), and was responsible for the training of 6,000 salespeople per year. Later, as CEO of Lee DuBois, Mr. Carroll has been directly involved with several Corporate Universities in the areas of Curriculum Development and Train-the- Trainer. His Corporate University Clients include:
AVCO Financial University IOF University
Deutsche Financial University Nationwide University
MONY University USAREC School House>
At Nationwide, Mr. Carroll’s training was the basis for many of Nationwide’s “Best Business Practices” initiatives. For the financial services marketplace, he built the Financial Sales Tutor, the largest interactive, video-driven sales training program ever built!
Recruiter Training Involvement
Over the last five years, no one in the world has trained more Recruiters – and Leaders. We have trained Army, Navy, and Naval Reserve groups to rave reviews. In 2000, Mr. Carroll authored USAREC’s “Recruiter Tutor”, the first interactive sales training program ever built for the military recruiting environment. Mr. Carroll is also the author of the recent successful book “Prospect or Perish – Make Every Sales Second Count” which outlines critical skills for effective sales prospecting and small business marketing.
But most importantly, Steve also surveyed Generation X and Generation Y research for USAREC, and authored the programmed learning text currently being circulated by the Command, “Recruiting Today’s Youth.” This research is changing the way the Army is recruiting today’s young people, as evidenced by the Cyber Recruiter initiative, the Army Game, and the new advertising campaign, “Army Strong.”
